Leslie
R. Southam, President of Southam & Associates, began his
executive career in the Aluminum Siding industry in 1973. As the founder of Southam & Warburton Aluminum Company, Les started
his business from meager savings, one truck, and a dream. From humble
beginnings in an office in a barn, Les and a partner built the business
into a multi-million dollar company with over 50 employees.
With the decision of the partner to dissolve the company,
a very promising opportunity presented itself to Les. In June of 2000,
Southam and Associates Inc. was formed. Starting with 21 employees and
a distinct location, Southam & Associates has grown and prospered,
making great strides in commercial roofing and metal
work.
Today, Southam & Associates serves the Commercial
Market with
crews traveling nationwide, catering to the specialty roofing and exterior remodeling sectors.

Although now retired, Les’ sons remain at the helm of this ever-growing business. At age 10, Dale, Dave and Mike each started their careers by picking up scraps and sweeping the floors of the shop, then gradually moved on to running the shop machinery and acting as crew leaders. With the company split in 2000, Dale became Vice President and Dave stepped into the role as General Manager. Upon Les’ retirement in 2006, Dave became President and remains as such today.

In 2003, Dale moved to the Reno area to open a Southam and Associates branch. Dale
still operates this extremely busy market with several crews and continues as Vice President.
Mike serves as Secretary/Treasurer and manages Southam and Associates’ crews, having an impressive resume of experience himself on the company’s most notable projects, including the Nevada Museum of Art (recognized by McGraw Hill’s Southwest Contractor Magazine as “Best of 2003” for private projects over $5 million), Indian Springs Air Force Base - Squadron Ops Facility, University Nevada Reno Student Union and Barge Hall at the University of Washington
